Application guide
Medium-duty polyurethane dry material handling hose
flexFLO™ lite U 100 uses a polyurethane-lined PVC tube for dry-material abrasion resistance and a clear wall for flow inspection. It does not supply a hose-grounding wire.
Polyurethane dry material handling hose
flexVAC™ U 140 ST is the grounded polyurethane dry-material option for 4- and 6-inch systems. It supports visual flow inspection, but its published vacuum limits are 21 inHg at 4 inches and 17 inHg at 6 inches. The ST140U recommendation applies within its lower size-specific vacuum limits. Use the eligible boom option when the recovery duty exceeds those limits.
Heavy-duty abrasion resistant wet and dry material handling hose
flexVAC™ U Boom ST is the heavy polyurethane-lined boom hose for demanding wet and dry abrasive recovery. Its static-dissipating construction and copper grounding wire support the defined severe-duty role. It is not food grade.
Medium-duty food grade suction and discharge hose
Use for: Food-contact dry transfer at lower pressure.
flexFOOD™ lite 200 ST combines clear food-contact PVC construction with a copper grounding wire for qualified dry-material conveying. Use it within its published pressure rating when synthetic reinforcement is not required.
Reinforced urethane food hose
Use for: Food-contact reinforced pressure transfer.
flexFORCE™ U Food Grade combines a food-contact polyurethane liner, synthetic reinforcement, static-dissipating construction and a copper grounding wire. It is the reinforced option for qualified abrasive-material and pressure service.
Notes: The primary progression covers nonfood abrasive resin and granule recovery. Qualified clean-material pressure transfer is a separate duty.
Distinction: flexVAC™ U 140 ST suits clean nonfood resin and dry-material systems in its 4- and 6-inch sizes. flexVAC™ U Boom ST addresses more demanding abrasive regrind and granule recovery. The food-contact alternatives cover separately qualified dry-material pressure transfer; they do not turn nonfood recovery hoses into food-contact products.
Warning: Confirm resin chemistry, temperature, contamination limits and maximum pressure or vacuum. Correctly connect and test the hose grounding wire as part of the bonded and grounded conveying system where required; ungrounded products are ineligible for that duty. Nonfood hoses do not qualify a food-contact process.
